My first blog!

IMG_0624 IMG_0625Welcome to my web site! Bear with me as I navigate through owning my own URL and live site, let alone, identifying with my “digital fingerprint” in the World Wide Web.  It’s a little scary and overwhelming.  I suppose it’s because I am solely responsible for ensuring this web site is up-to-date and filled with exciting things to read, look at – you know, things that do not bore people.

The purpose of having a new web site was because I started Kaia Consulting, my own small business. Talk about pressure! As you read this blog, Kaia Consulting recently made 1 year old (est. February 2012).  But as you all know with small businesses, the first year is the hardest: learning how to run a business, buying big purchases to actually run the business, fall eight times get up nine, hustling to get business, and finally being poor for a little while.

Nonetheless, it’s been one heck of a ride! This blog is dedicated to those who believed in me and still do.  I’m a rookie at this business thing (and owning my own web site) but not a rookie at knowing what I want and going for it! Check back to this blog for updates on my life, my clients and my business.  Things are starting to pick up and I’m involved in some pretty exciting things that I would love to share with you.  Thanks for stopping by!

Congratulations on your one year in business!! So proud of you, Jen. Want to share one of my favorite quotes with you that keeps me going: “If your heart is attached to it, then your mind will be attached to it. When you have a passion for something then you can not only be better at it, but you work harder at it too.” – Vera Wang. Keep up the fantastic work, sis!
